Fan Club Release.'Sanity Assassin' was recorded at Rockfield Studio, Monmouth in April 1983 and 'Spirit In The Sky' was recorded at Morgan Studios, London on 28 January 1982. The single came without printed labels and in a plain black sleeve with only credits on the reverse.
Only 325 copies of the single were sent out as a present / compensation to the fan club members who had paid their subscription before the band split up. And from this very limited issue, 50 copies were inadvertently thrown away during an office clearout !

Not For Sale
Because of the scarcity, Spirit In The Sky is the most heavily "bootlegged" Bauhaus track, especially in Italy, where it was illegally given away with a book on the band.
