"This historic "La Bohème" has been newly remastered from the original two-track recording of the 1956 performance as it existed in monophonic with the orchestra on one track and the voices on the other. In achieving this remastering for stereophonic phonographs, the orchestra track is electronically spread between the two speakers and the voices on a separate track move between the speakers thereby creating an effect of stage movement."
